The 8th grade softball team split a doubleheader with Teays Valley on Saturday.
The Eagles could not recover from an early Vikings lead in the first game. Maggie Adams had 3 hits and Joslyn Shaver had a run in the comeback attempt.
The Eagles bats came alive in the second game recording 16 hits. Avery Moravitz had 3 of those including 2 doubles and Jenna Couser added 3 hits with one being a triple. Gabby DelGenio used quality at bats and nifty baserunning to contribute to the win.
The Eagles are 7-4 on the season and take on Orange, Berlin, and Pickerington Lakeview this week.
